ABSTRACT
This paper presents an architecture allowing simple access to Ambient Intelligent Systems deployed in domestic environments. Interaction can be performed through a wide range of devices, from traditional PCs to laptops, mobile phones, digital television sets, and so on. Particular focus is devoted to low computational power devices, which are the main target of the proposed approach. These devices are seen as simple terminal interfaces that remotely communicate with the home environment, by means of a so-called Interaction Manager. A userinterface application for the digital television Set-Top Box shows the feasibility of the approach and poses the basis for further works in the proposed direction.
