ABSTRACT
From the early World Wide Web exploitation until contemporary Semantic Web generation, global communication has become an essential need for many people on the Internet. Globalization means ease of information exchange and of resource sharing, and requires convenient ways to bridge the gap between actual cul-tural and linguistic barriers. This paper introduces a simple ap-proach to multilingual semantic elaboration in the DOSE Distrib-uted Open Semantic Elaboration platform. The proposed approach uses a single, language independent ontology coupled with many language specific concepts definitions and sets of lexical entities (synsets) to characterize modeled concepts. A simple experimen-tal setup is described in order to assess the approach viability and further experimentation issues are discussed.
